Mr B. (Brian) Ford - B.Bus, FCPA - Employed: 1982

Mr Ford is a qualified Bachelor of Business, Certified Practicing Accountant and Fellow of the Australian Society of Accountants. Mr Ford was Pi Beta Capa (dux) of his graduate year in 1979 at Monash University. Following graduation, Mr Ford spent 2 years with a large Australian Credit Union as Assistant Accountant responsible for preparation of financial statements and regulatory reporting. Mr Ford commenced employment with La Trobe Financial in May 1982 as Senior Accountant and then, in 1986, assumed the role of Chief Financial Controller.
Mr Ford has over 20 years experience dealing directly with institutional and private investors in the financial services industry - including Federal and State Government housing schemes, and private lending institutions. Positions covered during his tenure with La Trobe Financial involve arrears management, discharges, new loan processing, interviews, loan settlements, payments processing and investor reporting.
In January, 1994, following 8 years service as Chief Financial Controller, Mr Ford was promoted to Group General Manager and was made responsible for all our customer service, administrative and group personnel functions. His responsibility extended to the day to day liaison with Group Financiers and attending Board Meetings on a need basis for the Group. Mr Ford was appointed to his present position as Chief Operating Officer in 2000. Mr Ford is a nationally recognised and accredited silver licence swimming coach and senior head coach of Traralgon Swimming Club which is the most successful regional club in Victoria winning the past 12 out of 13 Country Championships.
