Chief Financial Officer, Vice President

Mr R. (Rob) Clough - B.Comm, MBA, CA - Employed: 2008

Rob is a Chartered Accountant who was employed as La Trobe Financial’s Chief Financial Officer in March 2008. He previously worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers and its predecessor Coopers & Lybrand ("C&L") for over 20 years where he managed the audits of a number of major corporations including AAMI, RACV, Cricket Australia and Australian Foundation Investment Company Ltd. From 1995 to 1997 Rob was seconded to C&L’s Copenhagen office. He holds both a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Melbourne.

As the former audit director responsible for La Trobe Financial from 2004 to 2006, Rob already has a strong understanding of La Trobe’s operations. In addition to his understanding of systems and processes of a variety of financial services organisations, Rob’s audit experience has included due diligences for acquisitions, assessments of potential agency representatives and the preparation of submissions to regulators, which are of value in his role of CFO of La Trobe Financial.

As well as his significant audit experience, for a two year period Rob was the Group Manager for PwC’s Melbourne Financial Services audit practice. These general management skills are supplemented by Rob’s strong technical skills which were utilised as the editor for several years of PwC’s Insurance Facts & Figures and Value Accounts Insurance publications and his role of AIFRS transition “champion” for PwC’s Melbourne Financial Services audit practice.

Mr Clough is also Chairman of the groups Remuneration & Finance Committee ("RFC")
